Phoonk is a movie by Ramgopal Varma, in the banner One More Thought Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. starring Sudeep, Amruta Khanvilkar, Ahsaas Channa and Kenny Desai.This is a story about black magic.The movie opened up pretty well considering the superb publicity campaign.The youth got quite curious about the Rs 5 Lakh challenge.The movie however has got mixed response all over.

Taran Adarsh gave it 4 on 5 and said, “PHOONK is a fascinating cinematic experience on a subject that’s rarely tackled by the dream merchants in Bollywood: Black magic.” AOL india reviewer Noyon Jyoti Parasara was not too kind with the movie as he said, “Overall Phoonk scores low on the scare-o-meter.” Both and most others however agree that the performances are something to look forward to.
