Om Shanti Om is one of the 2007 Blockbuster film directed and choreographed by Farah Khan that stars Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles as the protagonists while Shreyas Talpade,Arjun Rampal, and Kirron Kher feature in supporting roles.More than thirty-two Bollywood stars from yesteryear and today are referred to or appear in the course of the film,including thirty-one of them (not including the stars of the film) in one song alone.
This film is based on reincarnation. At first,in 1977 Om Prakash Makhija(Shah Rukh Khan) falls for Shantipriya(Deepika Padukone). Om Prakash is ready to give up life for Shantipriya.He feels betrayed by her. She feels betrayed in love.Then calamity stikes somehow Om dies. Later in 2007, Om kapoor(Shah rukh khan) takes rebirth. Om remembers his past life and attempts to to expose the murder of Shantipriya. Thus begins the saga of Om Shanti Om.
