AANKHEN, deals with a unique theme that hasn’t been attempted on the Indian screen before - bank robbery by three blind men. AANKHEN easily defies the age-old norms and rules of commercial Hindi cinema. It makes an experiment of sorts.

Based on a hugely popular Gujarati play that hinged on the power of the written word and the nuances of human behaviour, the film relies overly on the thrills and spills of an audacious bank heist gone haywire.

Amitabh Bachchan, a strict bank manager, is sacked from the bank he has been working for so many years. Reason: He beats a cashier who has cheated an aged woman of Rs. 100.

The dutiful manager becomes wild and determined to take revenge. How?

He decides to rob the bank and teach them a lesson.

He hires Sushmita Sen and handpicks three blind men (Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal) to carry out his mission. After gruelling training sessions, the three succeed in robbing the bank, but things go haywire. What happens next?
